Stories of Impact: Fortunate

Fortunate joined Heal Ministries as a security guard in 2015. Each morning, she would check in the children who entered the gates for childcare and pre-school. After a few years of working at Heal, we sponsored her as she went back to school and earned a diploma in Information and Communication Technology. During this time, she moved from security to the childcare department. Upon graduation, Fortunate joined the Administration department as our Administration Assistant. Today she assists with all of the James Place finances.

Fortunate is a great mother to her two daughters. One is in the James Place Preschool and the other is in childcare. This allows Fortunate to see her children during the work day, something that is rare in most jobs around Uganda.
